The Arts are important at St Thomas More's. Each year, students have a variety of opportunities to be part of The Arts.
Specialist Classroom Music Lessons: Students from Prep to Year 6 participate weekly in Music lessons with a specialist teacher. Students work on developing their skill and proficiency in reading music and performing using a variety of percussive and tuned musical instruments.
Junior Choir: Students from Prep to Year 2 have the opportunity each year to join the school choir. Our Junior Choir has the opportunity to perform many times in school-based throughout the year.
Senior Choir: Students from Year 3 to 6 have the opportunity each year to join the school choir. Our choir has the opportunity to perform many times throughout the year, including school-based and eisteddfod performances.
Worship Choir: Students from Year 3 to 6 are invited to join the worship choir each year. The worship choir offer student voice on the hymns included in our whole school celebrations and lead the singing (and sometimes dancing) at these celebrations. The worship choir are also invited to lead the singing at the sacramental celebrations at the church, as well as family Mass celebrations throughout the year.
Instrumental Music Lessons: Students at St Thomas More’s have the opportunity to learn a range of musical instruments with our specialist instrumental music teachers. We have a large group of students each year who learn various stringed and tuned instruments.
School Musical: Every two years, St Thomas More's shares a School Musical with the school community. Students from Year 4 - Year 6 take to the stage to share a much loved story with the STM Community. Check out our School Musical page for details on our most recent musical!
